III.6.1 Pompeii. Victim 27. Plaster cast of a female, age 20+, found in Vicolo di Venere.
Made between 8 and 12 September 1933 (two years before the excavation of the Caupona), it lay 'face down with its legs twisted, the left hand under the face, the right hand at head height. What adds to the value of this plaster cast is the perfect traces of the folds of the clothing with which the body was covered, the precise profile of the agile and delicate legs, perhaps a young woman.
In the forearm of the right hand the toe of a foot, of the malleolus belonging to a second body, remained inserted, another deformity of limbs was noted between the abdomen and the extremity of the right hand; finally, between the abdomen and the knee of the left leg and remained attached to the last: a small bronze amphora with detached handle". (However, in PAP photo A2239 the handle appears attached to the body of the vessel).

III.6.1 Pompeii. September 2005. Victim 27. Plaster cast of female victim found in Vicolo di Venere, 8th to 12th September 1933.
Originally she had a small bronze amphora in her hand and, probably, some object high on the right side; in a canvas bag under the left flank there were two bronze coins of Vespasian and Galba, and a small coin with a hardly recognizable imprint.
